GEN1 or GEN2 – What should I order?

From a design perspective, our GEN1 Rack side plates are parallel to each other. This gives you the best protection for the back of the bike and maximizes the top plate surface area. GEN1 Rack is still overall narrower than the factory Honda Rack, but the top plate surface area is nearly doubled. This rack was designed with rackless luggage mounting in mind. If you want to maximize protection and top plate mounting area, this rack is for you!

GEN2 Rack Hugs the lines of the Transalp. GEN2 is approximately 3 inches narrower at the tail end when compared to GEN1. We reduced the clearance from the top plate to the bike by 0.25” and made gaps as small as possible. GEN2 represents an all-out engineering effort to squeeze maximum performance from the smallest form factor. The factory Honda Accessory mount point location AND geometry is maintained. Bolt up any accessory you can buy for the Transalp just as you would with the factory rack.
